My "real" goal is to complete min 5 half-marathons in 2016 and at least 1 marathon ( Munich Marathon ) in october 2016. I already done a half-marathon on sunday 18th of october 2105 ( my first long run) in 2h07´29" . I did also a 15km run the week before ( on sunday as test ) and I can run 10km in 46-50 min. I train regularly with my club ( 2 times/week) and we run in average 7km on each training ( alternate speed/lennghts, with a longer 4km run in one lap/ month).
I am pasionate about mountaineering and alpinism, therfore I have quite a lot of mountain trekking activities during summer and ski in the winter. I started to run forbthebfirstbtime in my life in july 2014, and at the time I was running 5k in 50 min, only 1 day/ week. I started to train more regularly from february this year and as you can see I was able to finish my first half marathon at the end of 9 months. I am sure the mountaineering helped as well in building endurance. During this half marathon , I was running the whole 21 km, with a slight walking of 10 seconds every 5km while I was drinking some water.
I have registerd all details mentioned above on my profile. Looking at the proposed plan, I think is a bit too easy to be honest.
I still need to complete my intermediate goals ( the other 5 half marathons for 2016) as I did not had time, but I am condisering the first one in February in Tanzania ( Kilimanjaro Marathon) combined with climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro.
