Seattle is the largest city in the Northwestern United States, Seattle, Washington.

Seattle Marathon was held for the first time back in 1970, where a group of friends from the University of Washington had decided to arrange a marathon. Today Seattle Marathon is among the ten largest marathon/half marathon races in the U.S. with around 17.000 participants.

The route has parts that are hilly, but also flat stretches. The route takes the participants past some of the sights in the city, including a trip across Lake Washington to Mercer Island. Seattle Marathon ends in Memorial Stadium in Seattle Center.

The time limit is 6 hours (Walkers: 7 hours).
