The Indianapolis Monumental Marathon was held for the first time in 2008. Around 10.000 runners have participated every year since then.
The route is relatively flat and fast with only a few small hills. The route takes the participants past some of the beautiful attractions in downtown Indianapolis and several of the surrounding neighborhoods. The route starts and ends near the Indiana State Capitol Building.
The time limit is 6 hours and 30 minutes.
