Helsinki City Marathon was established in 1980. It is held annually in the capital and the largest city in Finland, Helsinki. Around 6.500 runners from more than 55 nations participate in Helsinki City Marathon.
Helsinki City Marathon is often mentioned as being among the most beautiful marathons in the world. The route takes the participants through some of Helsinkis beautiful parks and along the coastline of the Baltic Sea.
The participants end up inside the historical Helsinki Olympic Stadium, where they have free entry to the Swimming Stadium after their marathon-race.
The time limit is 6 hours.
