Detroit marathon is held annually since it started back in 1978. Detroit is the largest city in Michigan. Around 20.000 in total participate each year.
The route crosses the AmbassadorBridge and Detroit-Windsor Tunnel which goes underneath the Detroit River. Detroit Marathon is therefore known as the only “underwater international mile” in the world.
The time limit is 6 hours and 30 minutes.
