The Big Five Marathon is held in amazing surroundings. The route goes through a Park in Waterberg between Johannesburg and Kruger National Park in the northern of South Africa. Here you will experience lots of wild animals like elephants, zebras and giraffes.

You have to keep constant attention on the ground as you struggle your way towards the goal. The route is steep and narrow with many loose stones and a fairly bad surface.
