Antarctic Ice Marathon is the southernmost of all marathons and an exeptional challenge. Antarctic Ice Marathon takes place at an altitude of 700 meters at the foot of the Ellsworth Mountains a few 100 miles from the South Pole.
This is absolutely not one of the easiest marathon on earth. You can expect an average temperature of minus 20°C, winds blow at steady 10-25 knots, and there are no "Boosters" along the route.
But if you are looking for great adventures, then you should investigate Antarctic Ice Marathon further. If you dream of becoming a member of "The 7 Continents Marathon Club", Antartic Ice Marathon need to be on your list, since it is the only marathon in the Antarctic.
You arrive in Puenta Arenas in Chile, if you are going to participate in Antarctic Ice Marathon. From there all participants will fly to Antarctica together. You have to be aware, that all dates can be changed due to bad weather conditions.
At Boost Marathon we work hard to ensure correct information, but please check all facts with the organizers before making any arrangements.
